My teaching philosophy

I believe that as instructors we cannot "teach" you how to do yoga, but rather serve as guides to help you build your own personal practice. I believe we shouldn't take ourselves too seriously on the mat, and that by opening our body we can also open our minds, unleash stuck emotions and heal wounds on a deep level so we can experience radical self-love. I believe that ultimately the only person who can help you find peace, release, strength or whatever you hope to achieve from your practice is you. But I hope to help you find it.

Each person's individual needs varies day to day, minute to minute, so my teaching style is not rigid, allowing each student to honor their body's needs in the moment. My classes are a balance of effort and ease woven with playfulness. I strive to help my students feel comfortable on their mat β€” whether it's their first class or they've been practicing for years β€” and in their skin so they can find a sense of self-awareness, self-acceptance ... and fun. I like fun.
